Role Overview
We are hiring PHP Developers who have deep expertise in WordPress plugin development, handling complex JSON payloads, and integrating witWooCommerce and external data systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring seamless communication between a DMS (Data Management System) and WordPress CMS, maintaining product data integrity, and managing custom API endpoints.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance a proprietary WordPress plugin that maps external payload data to WordPress and WooCommerce structures.
- Work with dynamic JSON payloads to sync SKUs, VINs, media files (images, PDFs), embedded HTML, and SEO metadata.
- Maintain 5 key API endpoints: /showcase, /new, /used, /sku-update, /multi-call.
- Implement and enforce media hygiene protocols – avoid duplicate uploads and clean up old product-related assets when no longer needed.
- Build logic to manage NEW and USED product behaviors – create, update, or delete posts based on data state.
- Map and sync data to:
- ACF (Advanced Custom Fields)
- WooCommerce product meta
- Yoast SEO
- WP Taxonomies
- Media Library & embedded HTML
Code & Workflow Standards
- Must use GitHub for version control: branch management, merging, and clean commits are required.
- Follow a strict backup strategy before major code commits – including plugin and media assets.
- Regularly refactor code, eliminate redundancy, and optimize logic for performance and reliability.
- Write secure, efficient, and maintainable code with rollback readiness.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of PHP development experience
- Deep understanding of WordPress core, plugin architecture, and custom REST APIs
- Proficient with WooCommerce, Yoast SEO, and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
- Strong experience working with JSON, AJAX, and dynamic data parsing
- Experience in media asset management in WordPress (programmatically)
- Confident with GitHub workflows and backup strategies
- Ability to identify bugs/issues independently and implement precise fixes
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
